The smartest beagle you have ever seen​

Xsara was probably the smartest dog in the World. I'm not just saying that because she's my dog. I really believe it's true. I have never seen a dog that can use their brain in the way she did, but being a hound of course she mostly used it to get what she wants - food!

 

Training Xsara as a puppy was quite a challenge. Luckily she was strongly motivated by food, but it took me quite a while and a LOOOOT of patience to convince her that cooperating with me was fun. She was very independent and had a really strong character, but everybody who knew her just fell in love with her in a heartbeat.

 

With time and patience she became the best working dog one could imagine. She got green eyes every time we worked and I still get tears in my eyes every time I remember her. She passed away in December 2018 from cancer :(
